Walking

“The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before.”
― Albert Einstein

When my world became smaller, due to circumstances beyond my control, I began walking.  I have always enjoyed walking for exercise, so this choice was not unusual.  I simply started walking more.

In addition to walking, I

studied my surroundings, looking for beauty.  It is amazing all that you can see if you simply take the time to slow down and truly see.

My camera and 105 mm lens became my walking partners as I explored my neighborhood for images.

Here are some of the things I saw on these walks.

I feel that these walks in my neighborhood have helped me truly see the beauty that I am surrounded by on a daily bases.

The weight loss of twenty pounds has just been a bonus!

If you get time this week, I hope you will go out and enjoy a walk.
