“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
―
One of the things I enjoy most about October is spending time looking at the changing colors of the leaves. I try to visit different elevations each weekend so I can make the most of what each
area has to offer in terms of fall colors.
Saturday, my husband, Randy, dog, Maui, and I explored the area of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Graveyard Fields.
On our way to our destination, we stopped at a very popular waterfall, Looking Glass Falls. I took some pictures there, but none that really excited me.
The first things we did at Graveyard Fields was visit the waterfalls there.
Once I photographed at these waterfalls, I went searching for the intimate landscapes that I truly enjoy photographing.
My favorite image from the day included some of my favorite things: rocks, water, and the color red.
I was thankful for this day spent with Randy and Maui observing the wonders of nature.
I hope you will take time this month to watch for the changes.
