900 Days of School (Part Four)

“All the variety, all the charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow.”
― Leo Tolstoy

Last school year I began an exciting personal project.  I decided to take one picture a day for the last five years of my professional career as an elementary school teacher.  When I decided to do this project, I had no idea that once I started, it would

take on a life of its own.  I knew what I had to bring to the project, what I did not account for was what my children would bring to the project along the way.

I just started my thirty-second year teaching and my second year of the project.  This year, I will be sharing images from the first year of the project.

I found that shadows often drew my attention while at school.

Shadows on the Building
Shadows of Play One
Shadows of Play Two
After Play

I will continue to look towards light and shadow each day in my surroundings.

Make sure, while at work, you look for the pictures you see.  Whether you take those pictures or not, looking for the beauty in every facet of your life will add a great deal of happiness.
