Feeling Festive at the Biltmore House

No matter what time of  year, I always enjoy a visit to the Biltmore House and Gardens.  The Biltmore House, built in 1895, is located in Asheville, NC.  It is a popular spot for tourists visiting the area.

I always make it a special point to visit during the spring when the tulips are blooming.  At that time, the gardens of the Biltmore House are a magical sight to behold.  Another fantastic time to visit the Biltmore is at Christmastime when the Biltmore has been decorated in anticipation of the holidays.

Even before you reach the entrance to the house, you will enjoy the decorated trees outside in front of the house.

Saturday, my family and I were delighted with the self guided tour through the house to appreciate the decorations.

Many visitors, while waiting for their time to enter the house, stopped to pose with one of the two lions at the front entrance.

Once inside the house, there were adorned trees and other decorations at every turn.

This scene caught my eye in the corridor because I loved the scalloped shadow being cast on the wall.

Decorated trees were placed all throughout the house.

My family and I left the Biltmore House filled with holiday spirit after enjoying the beautiful decorations throughout the house.  We also enjoyed completing some of our holiday shopping in the enticing shops located at the Biltmore House.
